HOW WE BUILD
From Schematics
to Sound
At artistproMusic, our plugins, software, and iOS apps begin with research into the real devices and instruments they model.
The original hardware comes first
We study the history of the original unit, its schematics, and how its electronic components were built and connected. Whether we are modeling an instrument, microphone, speaker, or another audio tool, that research forms the foundation of the work.
Our engineering begins with understanding the original design and translating its behavior into software.
The development system behind the work
To support that process, we built Nomad: our custom AI-assisted development architecture.
Nomad coordinates specialized assistants for planning, coding, review, testing, and documentation. We run multiple open-source models on our own servers, use additional externally hosted open-source models, and draw on Codex and other frontier-level assistants when needed. Most of our development takes place within Nomad.
We are open about using modern agentic tools. These are not "vibe coded" and wished into existence. We manually direct their work through research, specifications, and engineering decisions, and remain responsible for the results.
Every product, every setting
Development is followed by extensive hands-on testing.
We spend substantial time manually testing every plugin, software application, and iOS app, working through every setting, listening to the results, and examining how the product behaves.
The research establishes what we are modeling. The engineering turns that understanding into software. The testing determines whether the result meets our standards.
Nomad helps us carry out that work. artistproMusic stands behind what we release.
